PROJECTS REALIZED BY DEPARTMENT

Multidisciplinary project of seven departments of four faculties of TUL - Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Faculty of Mechatronics, Informatics and Interdisciplinary Studies, Faculty of Arts and Architecture and Faculty of Textiles.

3D printing in construction and architecture CZ.02.1.01/0.0/0.0/16_025/0007424

In parallel, the project is focused on developing robotic equipment for outpatient 3D printing of building structures and the development of structures and objects realisable with this technology. The project is looking for a suitable conceptual and design solution for the printing robot, developing its hardware and software. Variants of suitable printing material are searched and tested. At the same time, structural and architectural solutions are investigated, using the unique possibilities of 3D printing, and their requirements are fed back into the development work on the robotic device.

The scope of the project outputs will be within the meaning of the OP VVV project call. Pre-application research is limited to the main principles and components of the robotic device. Some parts of the robot will be verified on functional samples and parts of building structures.
