He graduated from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the Technical University in Liberec in the field of Machine and Equipment Design. After his studies, he started working as an assistant at the Research and Testing Centre for Internal Combustion Engines. Since then, he has worked as a scientific and pedagogical worker at the Department of Industrial Transport Machinery and then at the Department of Vehicles and Engines of TUL.
His professional focus is on engineering statistics and exhaust pollutants, their formation processes during combustion and their measurement. In connection with the activities of the Accredited Testing Laboratory, he focuses on the measurement of emissions of non-vehicle versions of internal combustion engines. He has been involved in teams dealing with R&D projects for the Ministry of Education and Science and the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
